Day four brings us an Australian treat in the form of The Loved Ones.

I saw this back at Frightfest in the late slot showing, where only a few people had stayed to watch it as normally the late night slot is a tad shit. But this was a rare gem that mixed teen angst and power tools rather nicely.

Imagine its Prom Night and you never get asked (I don’t have to imagine this was real) and all you really want is the crown and the dance with the hot guy. Some may say hormones get the better of Lola, whilst I think its her god damn right to be queen at least once.

The most enduring memory of this film for me will always be the group of Twilight fans who came to see Xavier Samuel. Sadly for them this doesn’t feature sparkly vampires and some nice snogging.
