Today I attended manual handling training and it ended up being the most sexist two hours I’ve ever spent in one room.
Apparently as I am a delicate woman I should only lift paper a ream at a time. NOT A BOX AS 10KGS IS TOO HEAVY FOR WOMAN!
I also got told off for walking too quickly. I should walk slowly according to the trainer – if the load is light and it needs moving I’ll get it done. I’ve cats to stroke and beards to look at, this requires my time.
So in conclusion, I learnt today that if you are a woman you should be slow and delicate. That’s cool, I can show you how slow and delicate I can be when I am kicking you up the bracket.
